The ‘Women of Colour’ exhibition is Gold Coast artist Tamara Armstrong’s most ambitious solo series to date. Two years in the making, this vibrant series of striking portraits sees Armstrong spotlighting twelve fellow Australian creative women who have inspired her - and countless others - in their fierce pursuit of a life lived in brilliant colour and bold substance. This array of ‘Art with Heart’ will celebrate cultural diversity and the gift that pursuing a life of creative contribution can bring. It will also seek to raise funds for twelve charities and local non-for-profit organisations - as nominated by the twelve women portrayed.
This high-spirited exhibition will launch on International Women’s Day with an exciting line up of ticketed events including an exclusive ‘Creative Immersion Day’ on Thursday 8 March 2018 and a ‘Gala Opening Night’ on Friday 9 March 2018. Patrons can also look forward to a range of artistic workshops that will take place throughout the month at Left Bank Gallery, South East Queensland's premier fine art printer, picture framer and contemporary gallery and studio space.
