'A Creative Pep Talk' and Q&A presented by Tamara Armstrong - Gold Coast Event - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED!
NEW DATE and venue to be announced.
Tamara Armstrong is now offering her public speaking services to present a 90 minute inspirational and motivational pep talk and Q&A session on all things 'CREATIVE' and why we can all benefit from flexing our own creativity everyday - in a range of different ways. Tamara has been professionally pursuing a career in Painting for the past five years and is still working hard to take her practice to new personal heights. Prior to this she taught high school Visual art for 10 years, fostering creative confidence in her young students from all walks of life. Since leaving teaching Tamara has discovered her ability to also foster creative confidence in adults through the sharing of her artistic journey and deciding to open up the doors to her private home studio with painting workshops that encourage participants to let down their guards, think outside of the square and actively build up their self-esteem as makers and creatives in their own right. Tamara has also mentored a number of fellow emerging artists who have sought her advice for ways to stay positive through challenging times and tips for presenting their artistic offerings in authentic ways to find their true voice and audience in online platforms.
After recently presenting her story as a Keynote Speaker at this year's UQ Youth Alumni Conference, Tamara felt elated after facing a fear of public speaking, she shattered it completely and was left wanting more opportunities to hone this new found interest and skill set. Tamara is doing so by offering her story in a heartfelt and inspiring way on Thursday August 2nd at 'The Craft Parlour' in Palm Beach (Gold Coast) with the intention to inspire others to see the potential for personal growth and empowerment that can come from exercising their own creativity in simple achievable ways. If you've been feeling creatively blocked by fear, or uncertainty, if you're in a bit of a life rut and craving a stronger connection to your inner voice, or even if you have already found your own creative outlet but seek to take your practice further or connect with more creatives in the local community, this 'Creative Pep Talk' could leave you feeling uplifted, inspired and willing to get out of that comfort zone and flex your creativity muscles in new and interesting ways.
Tamara will share her creative childhood experiences right through to her decision to finally leave teaching and chase her dream of being an artist. She will also cover all of the personal challenges and hurdles she faces and continues to face as a professional and self-represented artist. The many ways in which she continues to show up and do the work, and how she overcomes set backs with perseverance and self-belief will also be covered and there will be the chance to ask for tips and advice on presenting your own creative outlets in a authentic and real way to find your voice in the online world as a self-represented creative. Tamara truly believes we can all benefit from actively feeding our inner creatives, and that it's never too late to reconnect with our creativity. It's all a matter of getting out of our comfort zones in small, achievable ways.
